Recycled Park Benches

Abstract:
The research was done because it was determined to see what is safed to use on recycled park benches. The problem that is being addressed is not many of the park benches are recycled. What I found during my results was using too many products that are not recycled. The problem is better understood now than before by making certain adjustments to the product.

Introduction:
The purpose of this lab report is to evaluate the mechanical properties of recycled park benches. Recycled park benches are benches made from recycled materials, usually plastic and wood, to minimize waste and reduce the environmental impact of traditional bench manufacturing.

Hypothesis:
My research would be how to use recycling materials and create a product that would be environmentally friendly. There is way too much pollution on Earth with plastics, paper and cardboard. What would be a good way to eliminate all this pollution is to manufacture a park bench used with recycled materials. This will eliminate the cutting down of many trees to use their wood since trees are very important to the environment. Setting:
The setting is done in The City College Of New York in a writing class called “Writing For Engineering”. We are in a class of 28 students with the professor. Our college gives us access to the CCNY database if we need it for specific reasons.

Material and Methods:

This experiment is based on the three types of search engines that we used. We made a google form based on the 5 criterias which were relevance, authority, currency, accessibility and expectancy. We have to grade these things according to the topic that I chose from the 3 search engines we have to use. After once we already have that we have to put our topic into the 3 search engines and find 10 websites that can relate. If they were a lab report then I would have to ask myself if it met my expectation from a scale of 0 to 5.

Results and Discussion:

The search term I was using were recycled park benches to find my results. I was hoping to find sites that can relate to my topic that I chose. When using the search tools in order to find many different websites that are related to my topic, it was very difficult to find websites that are relevant to my topic. For the first search tool I had to use, which was Google. Finding websites that were related to my topic in Google was a bit complicated because I wasn't able to find as many results compared to the search tools I had to use. For Google, it could be very challenging to find what sites you can use for your lab report but it is based on what topic you decided to go with. For Google Scholar it wasn’t complicated at all because whatever topic you chose it would highlight one or two words that will determine if that website is valuable to use for your lab report. It is also much easier to find certain things on a website where it could be relevant. Lastly, using Database was the most hardest one for me because of finding different subjects that have to be relevant with your topic. It would take time to find the right one. My results may impact my future search strategies for engineering information by making sure it is the right site so then if it has issues in the future it can be fixed very quickly.

Conclusion:

Overall, using google and google scholar were the best two options for me because everybody uses both of these search engines on a daily basis. Depending on which search engine you use and which topic you are going to use, it might take quite a while to find websites that have lab reports.
